Westbury & District Choral Society hosted a Come & Sing workshop with Grenville Jones on Saturday 14th June.
The workshop was followed by an evening concert featuring the workshop choir with Bath Male Choir, who were participants in the BBC’s popular ‘Last Choir Standing’.
The workshop was led by Grenville Jones at The Methodist Church, Station Road, Westbury. Grenville has a worldwide reputation for getting people to sing. He has appeared on TV across the world through his Last Choir Standing Bath Male Choir and the ‘Goldies’ charity.
Shirley Rhys, chairman of the Westbury & District Choral Society said, “The workshop is aimed at people who don’t usually sing and perhaps don’t think they can. Grenville will prove to them that they can sing!
“43 members of the Bath Male Choir are coming to sing and we have had around 50 people for the workshop, with more turning up for the concert, so over 100 people are involved.
“We are always seeking new members for the choral society.”
