Friends are very precious, and very important in our lives.
Do you have many friends? Friendships often begin at school and last a lifetime. Do you have a friend, someone you confide in and trust? Someone you can share anything with, and know that you won’t be judged or rejected? A friend is someone you can share your sorrows, your pain, and share you joys, to be able to laugh and cry together.
I do believe that if you want a friend, you have to BE ONE. Friendship should not be one sided, but one who gives, forgives, blesses, protects, honours, and is trustworthy, a good listener, and not just looking for someone to dump on. The bible teaches us in the book of Proverbs, chapter 18 v 24 “A man who has friends must himself be friendly, But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother”. That’s Jesus Christ.
My friends have been so amazing to me and my family over the last year or so, showing love and support in many ways. I thank God for each and every one. In John 15:13 Jesus said; (Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends). Love is sometimes costly but it doesn’t seem costly because of the love. The greatest love; John 3v16 “God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. Wow! He did that for you.
