Westbury Churches Together- Seasons & Generations

The UK climate is normally mild. Now suddenly it is too hot to function. Those who like hot climates, even go on holiday to seek it, now have the joy of it on their doorstep.
Similarly, to the elderly generations, it is normal to avoid waste, repair rather than buy new, and hi-tech is a learning curve. For young generations, opportunity seasons are opening up for astonishing technical and communication developments, when even a few years old is considered out of date.
UK is in a season of change and adaptation. Brexit: the democratic vote to leave EU and to have self-determination and sovereignty, and freedom in a global market place so exciting for the younger generation; but provoking resistance from those who wish to remain in EU – with collective government, shared responsibilities, secure agreements already established, freedom from fear of the unknown – particularly for those who have never experienced life outside EU, or who have profited through the EU.
The world seasons are also changing, and we are having to adapt to that change and take responsibility.
It is in the adapting to change, to the challenges, that we do have choices. We choose how we personally respond.
Recently we were privileged to join with different churches across Wiltshire to simply bring the love of God for His creation on to the streets of Wiltshire towns. So many people responded to the message with a ‘thank you!’ There were also a number who responded with rudeness – but it did not change the message of love, because there is no offence in love.
It is in love and generosity of heart that one can perceive the truth. Where there is anger and hatred, there is always a covering up of hidden motives. So seek love and discover the truth – God is love.
Galatians 6:7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. 9 And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.
