WESTBURY Golf Club’s season is now under way. The club March Medal was won by Dylan Barnes with a nett 63 and the April Medal was won by Matt Gardiner with a nett 65.
The club reports, “The Club Easter Shield saw Rob Johnson come out on top with 41 points including 3 birdies and 8 pars.The runner-up was Dave Gilbert with a very creditable 38 points.
“The Seniors Easter Shield was won by Steve Turner with 34 points, with Iain Murray in second spot with 31 points.
“The Seniors Friendlies have started with 2 away matches resulting in 4 and a half to 1 and a half defeats.
“In the first game against Upavon, our winning pair was Denis Kidd and Roger Heard with an honourable draw for Dave Gilbert and Harold Lidbitter. In the second game against Fosseway, Ken Aylott and Rodney Poolman were our winners with George Brown and John Williams earning the half point.”
