AFTER two weeks of exclusive use for members only, Westbury Golf course is once again open to the general public.
“It’s been extremely busy with members delighted to be able to play again after lockdown, but we are now keen to allow our Pay and Play customers the opportunity to enjoy a round.” said Bob Rawlings, club secretary.
“We will open officially for Pay and Play on Friday 29th May and expect golfers to be really pleased to get out playing.
“The weather looks great for golf, the sun is still shining, the course is looking fantastic and it is good to be back and fully running again.
“We’ve got a new online booking system which you can find on our website http://www.westburygolfclub.co.uk/ and we’ve put all the measures in place to keep people safe.
“People can play in twos if they maintain social distancing and follow Government guidelines. You have to book in advance and there is 20 minutes between tee times.
“Safety is obviously our main concern, and special measures have been put in place to help people ‘Play Safe including:
- Waiting in your car until 10 minutes before your tee off.
- Ensuring the flag stick is not touched, with a hole liner used to stop the ball falling below the surface.
“Initially people can book in pairs with charges at £36 per pair for golf at any time and £24 per pair for golf after 4pm.”
“The course is open from 8am to 8pm daily.”
