Westbury Library has now reopened following its closure due to the pandemic. Opening times and services have changed due to Covid, but members of the public can now borrow books which have been handpicked by the library team.
The library team say, “We are open on Monday afternoons, 2pm-4pm and Fridays all day 10am-1pm, 2pm-4pm for an order and collect service which provides you with access to books. You can also book to use the computers for up to 45 minutes. We hope to allow browsing in due course.
“All items borrowed that were due back from 9 March onwards, before the libraries closed, have been renewed until 5th November. There won’t be any overdue charges during this time. If you want to return your books, please put them through the letterbox at the front of the library and we will remove them from your account once we have quarantined them for 72 hours.
“To use the order and collect service please either complete the online form at https:// libraries.wiltshire.gov.uk/web/arena/ordercollect or telephone us during our opening hours.
“You can choose up to 12 books for yourself, or 20 books for a family. We will contact you to arrange a time for you to collect these books from the library entrance. We are sorry we are not able to take requests for specific books or titles through this form, as books will be selected from the stock held within the library you choose to collect from.
“Computers can be booked in advance for 45 minutes. Please call us during our opening hours to book your slot.
“Our phone number is 01373 822294.
“We look forward to seeing you soon!”
