WESTBURY Golf Club Seniors section has reported a busy time.
They say, “Great news! A victory at last for the Seniors against Shortwood Lodge at home by 5 and a half matches to a half.
“The winning pairs were George Brown/Mike Darwin, Clive Sturgess/Dave Medley, Steve Turner/Terry Turner, Bob Rawlings/Dave Cameron and Mike Frowde/Rodney Poolman.
“A Mixed Texas Scramble was held on the 27th June and a good time was had by all. The winners were Fiona Belson/Steve Killops and Malcolm Stone.
“The Secretaries Summer Trophy saw George Henderson victorious with a nett score of 66, with Colin Booth in second place with 68.
“The Father’s Day event proved very popular and the Open Day was well attended and hopefully we will welcome some new members.”
