THREE women from Westbury will be cycling from London to Brighton to raise money for Wiltshire Air Ambulance and Shine.
Mother and daughter, Lynda and Hayley Brewer, along with their friend Jackie Macey, will set off from London on 5th September hoping to reach Brighton before it gets dark.
Lynda said, “I did the same distance, 58 miles. about 20 years ago and never thought I’d do it again, but here I am. I did it in 5 hours and 40 minutes last time, but that was a long time ago so it will probably take us a lot longer. But we don’t mind, we’re not in an hurry, it will be a giggle and we want to have fun.
“My daughter and I are raising money for Wiltshire Air Ambulance which is a fantastic charity. You never know when you might need them and they do a brilliant job.
“Jackie is raising money for Shine which is a charity close to her heart. Her daughter has hydrocephalus and Shine is the only national charity providing practical support to help individuals and families affected by spina bifida and hydrocephalus.
“We want to raise as much money as possible but of course anything we raise would be brilliant.”
