WHITE Horse News readers have helped to raise over £1,200 for Dorothy House Hospice Care via our family messages column.
The money, totalling £1,211.76, has been collected during 2021 from donations made by readers of White Horse News and our sister papers, Melksham News and Frome Times.
Readers are invited to make a charity donation when they run a message in our Family Messages column, with all the money going to charity. £201.76 has been raised for the charity thanks to cash donations and £1,010 has been raised via online donations made through our JustGiving pages for each newspaper.
Accepting the cheque on behalf of Dorothy House, community and events fundraiser Verity Clark said, “We cannot thank our community enough for the kind donations we receive from their dedications, and very humbled during this difficult time for everyone. All of your donations pay for invaluable care for our patients, their families and carers. From everyone at Dorothy House, we wish you a happy and healthy 2022!”
White Horse News editor Ian Drew said, “Thank you to all our readers who have contributed to this fantastic amount. It is a pleasure to support Dorothy House who do such important work in the community.”
