Members from all the White Horse Team’s parishes gathered on Thursday 14th July to welcome Westbury’s new Rector, Rev Rhona Floate.
The White Horse Team consists of the four churches, All Saints Church Westbury, Holy Saviour Church Westbury Leigh, Holy Trinity Church Dilton Marsh and Brokerswood.
Rhona said, “I’m delighted to come as Rector of the White Horse Team. It’s an exciting time to join the team that has been developing new ways for people to encounter God, as well as continuing to offer more traditional forms of worship and service to every section of the communities in Westbury, Westbury Leigh, Dilton Marsh and Brokerswood.
“I look forward to getting to know people and to working in partnership with many other organisations to build up the life of this busy area and am grateful for the warm welcome that I’ve received.”
Filling All Saints Church were various dignitaries and representatives from the town and ministers from the other local churches along with Rhona’s family, friends and members of her previous parish in Wool and East Stoke in Dorset. After the service the celebration continued with refreshments being served in the church.
