Nominations for the Westbury Young People Awards which will take place at Matravers School on Wednesday 19th June are now open and local people are encouraged to start putting names forward as soon as possible. Nominations will close on Friday 24th May.
Westbury community engagement manager, Graeme Morrison said, “Shortlisted nominees will be invited to the awards ceremony to take place in the evening of Wednesday 19 June. It will be a brilliant evening. This is a fantastic way to recognise the wonderful young people that we have in the Westbury Community Area.
“The awards would not be possible without the support of local businesses, many of whom have agreed to sponsor awards. I would like to thank the following businesses who have confirmed their support already. Martin and Co, Gooding Accounts, Selwood Housing, Hire Standards, Places Leisure and White Horse News.”
The awards categories are as follows: • Young Achiever Award • Young Carer Award • Volunteering Award • Young Leader Award • Sporting Individual Award • Sporting Team Award • Young Voice Award • School Council Award • Young Individual Arts Award • Young Team Arts Award
