THE Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group for Dilton Marsh is encouraging residents to fill out a questionnaire about the village, which will be delivered to every home.
In 2017, the parish council held open public meetings to discuss the creation of a Neighbourhood Plan for Dilton Marsh. Following those meetings, volunteers from the village put forward their names to form a steering group, which is now leading on the development of the plan for the parish council.
The group say, “This is your chance to play your part in influencing the future of our village. This questionnaire is a key part in the production of the Dilton Marsh Neighbourhood Plan.
“We really want to hear the views of everyone in the village and the wider parish. Please help by completing your questionnaire with as much information as you can and by returning it before the 30th June 2019. You can remain anonymous – you do not need to put your name on it, unless you want to.”
What is the Dilton Marsh Neighbourhood Plan?
A document that will set out planning policies for the parish, which will be used by Wiltshire Council when considering planning applications.
It will define the use and development of land and buildings.
It will detail a vision for the future of the village and will identify important features.
It will be written by the local community, the people who know and love the area, led by the Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group.
If you would like to be involved in the steering group, they would love to hear from you. Please email dilton marshplan@ outlook.com or call Colin (chairman) on 01373 825765.
