A new chapter in the history of Yarnbrook Chapel began at the start of 2016.
After leading the work for 20 years Paul and Mary Rossiter have passed on the responsibility. A new leader, who will also be the Lay Pastor of the chapel has been appointed.
Andrew Jones, who has been a regular preacher at the chapel, as well as in other local Baptist Chapels conducted his first service as Pastor on Sunday 3rd January.
Andrew and his wife Jeanette are looking forward to being involved in the chapel’s work.
Andrew said, “There are great opportunities at Yarnbrook; we have a building recently renovated and ready to use, we also have a great group of people who support the chapel; I have already visited each home in the village, introducing myself.”
Among the future events planned are a coffee morning between 10.00am and 12.00 noon on Saturday 16th January. A service of recognition for the new Pastor on Saturday 27th February at 3.00pm, and a special tea on Thursday 21st April, marking the Queen’s 90th birthday.
All are welcome to these events and the regular Sunday service each week at 3.00pm. More details from Andrew Jones pastoryarnbrook@hotmail.com
