LEIGHTON Recreation Centre held a successful open afternoon of croquet for people to try out the game, on 8th August.
Staff from the centre said, “We had beginners and experienced participants and everyone enjoyed the session.
“In view of this, it has been agreed that four further sessions will take place on Tuesday afternoons each week until the end of the season. Newcomers are welcome at any time.
“The sessions will start at 2.30pm and will finish at around 4.30pm. There will be a small charge and the refreshment facilities of the recreation centre will be available for use.”
