Westbury Area Churches Together held an open air service in the Market Place, beside the Old Town Hall, on the evening of Sunday 20th May, with the kind support of Olympia.
Rev Iain Murray CLG Westbury said, “With a strong representation from churches in Westbury, the service and worship led by All Saints and Church of the Living God Westbury, and blessed with warm sunshine, everyone enjoyed celebrating the birth of the Church – Pentecost.
“The key theme expressed was the encouragement to bring the spirit of love and unity in all walks of life – through the love of God and loving one another.
“Rev Rhona Floate brought an extract from the address given by Bishop Michael Curry at the Royal Wedding the day before, which was well received.
“Ministers from all the churches represented offered varied prayers for Westbury and our region, and to close, cakes and refreshments were shared with Market Place establishments.”
