WESTBURY Golf Club reports on a further two friendly matches. Seniors captain Rodney Poolman says, “Under the inspirational leadership of acting captain Barrie Jamieson, we drew 3-3.
“Our winners were Clive Sturgess and Bob Rawlings, Dave Medley and Colin Booth and K.Aylott. We lost our away match with Folke 4-2, our only winning team was Dave Cameron and Neil Simpson.
“The Club House Trophy was won by Tim Rawlings with a nett 64 (his first good round in a year according to Tim).
“The Open Day on June 22nd. will start at 8.00am, with 9 holes free golf and a £50 voucher off membership on the day.There will be a bouncy castle for the children and the model railway will be open. For those who feel hungry, there will be a rolling barbecue from 11.00am.
“Some breaking news; Steve Killops has had a hole-in-one on the 17th and as a consequence, was faced with a hefty bar bill.”
