THE first ever Westbury Lions Family Fun Dog Show has been cancelled this year due to scheduling conflicts.
The dog show was originally planned for Sunday 17th July but had to be postponed because of the extremely hot weather and was then re-scheduled for last weekend, Sunday 11th September. But the organisers had to cancel the event as there weren’t enough members to help volunteer on the day.
“It’s simply a case of scheduling conflicts; we just have many members away on their holidays this month,” explained Lions President Peter Esdaile. “We will regroup to organise this event next year and make sure it goes ahead without a hitch. We all look forward to meeting your four-legged family members in 2023!”
