WESTBURY’S tai chi group is on the look-out for new members and they are offering a free taster class to see if this is the class for you.
Tai chi is a Chinese martial art practiced to improve health and well-being. Known for its slow, intentional movements, it is particularly popular as a form of gentle exercise and moving meditation, with benefits to mental and physical health.
The Westbury tai chi group meets each Wednesday from 10am to 11am at Grassacres Hall and is followed by a chat and refreshments.
The group says, “One of the advantages of our classes is their suitability for all abilities from absolute beginner to advanced, and that all exercises can be performed sitting. Our teacher has many years’ experience, and she is still learning!
“We would love to welcome some new members to our friendly group; your first taster class is free. After that it is £5 each week; this covers expenses including hall hire, parking and of course our teacher.”
