A coffee morning in support of Guide Dogs UK has raised over £1,500 for the charity.
Held last month at the Paragon Hall, the fundraiser included a performance by the Warminster Military Wives Choir and a visit from Guide Dogs UK CEO, Andrew Lennox.
Hilary Reed, branch coordinator for the charity’s Westbury and Warminster branch, said, “Andrew was amazed at the number of people at the coffee morning and wants to convey his thanks to everyone.
“My sincere thanks go to the committee members of the Labour Club for allowing us to use the hall – it was much appreciated! And thank you to everyone who attended and made it such a worthwhile morning.”
The choir’s performance was particularly well-received, with attendees enjoying the uplifting selection of songs. Hilary added, “The Warminster Military Wives Choir went down very well, and everyone seemed to enjoy the songs they sang.”
The funds raised will support Guide Dogs UK’s work in training and providing guide dogs to visually impaired people across the UK.
