White Horse News invites a Wiltshire councillor to write about issues of their choosing.
Cllr Robert Smith
I feel tremendously proud and thankful for the trust that you, the Westbury residents, have placed in me to represent you as your councillor for Westbury West.
Now, three months into the job, I can assure you I am fighting your corner at every level, with healthy progress already being made on many of Westbury’s issues.
The one thing that I have found most frustrating though, is how long it takes to get anything done.
BUT GET THINGS DONE WE WILL.
My priority will always be to get the best possible service from Wiltshire Council for the residents of Westbury and its surrounding villages.
I understand your frustrations when on the face of it, it feels like little ever seems to get done, but I can assure you I am working tirelessly to make changes and address the many challenges that lie ahead.
Westbury is a wonderful market town with so much potential and has a strong deep rooted community spirit. I feel confident that many of Westbury’s issues will be overcome.
Those of you that I have already had the pleasure to meet know that I will, wherever possible, deal with your issues as swiftly as I can.
I can’t always promise to get the answers or the outcome you want but will always do my very best to deal with your inquires.
I have an open-door policy at my shop on the trading estate (Designer Framing), and you are more than welcome to drop in for a chat, or alternatively, you can always call me, and I will always do my best to help.
