AN Edington reiki practitioner will be taking part in a 24-hour reiki marathon in Bath to raise money for charity.
Along with two other Wiltshire practitioners, Anne Tottingham will take part in the reiki marathon from 7.00am on 31st August to 7.00am on the 1st September. Reiki is an energy system, used as a therapy. Practitioners say it is deeply relaxing with a calming effect. Anne said, “We are curious to know what it will be like giving and receiving reiki for that period of time. We welcome any other reiki practitioners to join us even for an hour or two. Of course the general public are welcome throughout the 24 hours.”They will be fundraising for Developing Health and Independence (DHI), a Bath-based charity that helps people out of the cycle of homelessness, social isolation, and drug or alcohol abuse. Anne said, “As we are doing this overnight we are thinking about people who have problems in staying somewhere secure overnight.”
