THE Duke in Bratton is holding a Halloween charity fundraiser on Saturday 31st October in aid of Cancer Research UK and Dorothy House Hospice Care.
The spooky evening is a follow up from their fundraising event last year, ‘Pink Friday’ which was organised by two local women.
Landlady Lyn Hobbs said, “We had a great time last year raising the money, so we wanted to do it again with a slight twist. The evening starts at 7.30pm and there will be live music from local band Funked Up, a pork roast and a fantastic raffle with lots of great prizes.
“It will start just after the Rugby World Cup Final so hopefully lots of people will stay and support the event, it should be a great evening, we’re really looking forward to it.
“So many people are affected by cancer in one way or another. Please come and join us to raise much needed funds for these two great charities.”
