A new Domino’s pizza takeaway will be coming to Westbury after plans were approved by Wiltshire Council.
The branch will be located on Trowbridge Road, near Lidl, in a building previously occupied by cleaning products supplier Simpsons, who have now relocated to the West Wilts Trading Estate.
Documents submitted by the Pegasus Group on behalf of Third State Pizza state that the takeaway would create 25 jobs and operate between 11am and 11pm. Filtration equipment will be installed to help minimise any odours.
Westbury Town Council previously supported the application as a consultee, but councillors asked the applicant to consider neighbouring properties, minimise noise, and actively manage off-street parking to avoid disruption.
Some residents had raised concerns about potential noise and odours.
A Wiltshire Council officer report stated, “The concerns and objections received from the Town Council and neighbours have been addressed and overcome,” and the application was approved.
