Speed enforcement sessions on 30mph roads in local villages recorded 24 drivers speeding earlier this month.
Sessions carried out on Wednesday 11th March recorded speeding offences in Bratton, Edington and Chapmanslade.
In Bratton, five drivers were caught speeding at the Westbury Road and Lower Road junction. The fastest driver was recorded at 44mph.
Four drivers were offered a speed awareness course and one driver received a £100 fine and three penalty points.
In Edington, five drivers were also recorded speeding on Westbury Road. The fastest speed was recorded at 43mph.
Four drivers were offered a speed awareness course, with one driver receiving a £100 fine and three penalty points.
In Chapmanslade, on a 30mph section of the A3098 High Street, 14 drivers were caught speeding, with the top speed recorded at 47mph.
A total of 11 drivers were offered speed awareness courses and three drivers received a £100 fine and three penalty points.
A spokesperson from the Warminster Neighbourhood Policing Team said, “Proceedings will now follow to ensure the appropriate outcomes for all offenders. This includes checks on: MOT status, insurance, licence points and potential point totters.
“All footage captured is also reviewed for additional offences such as mobile phone use and no use of seatbelts.
“Thank you to all motorists who continue to drive safely and within the speed limits.”
