DILTON Marsh Pre-School received a much-needed revamp during the summer holidays when members of the pre-school committee rallied round, working on the playground, including a new mud kitchen and bug hotel,
The work has provided an exciting and engaging environment for the children to enjoy. Karon Levett, manager of the pre-school said, “Work started during the first week of the summer holidays to clear the space and what started as a ‘quick tidy up,’ rapidly turned into a full-blown transformation – thanks to the ideas and hard work of our committee.
“The children can’t wait to get outside and play, whether it be creating a masterpiece on the new mark-making wall, throwing ‘nectar’ into the honeycomb target, going on a creepy crawly hunt at the bug hotel or swinging on the new swings – they love it and so do we, it’s amazing what can be achieved when a group of like-minded people come together with one common objective.
“We are very grateful to everyone who came to help create this amazing space. Special thanks goes to the Landmarc Sign Shop at Codford who donated the amazing banners which have been erected along the fence and also to Whitefield Metals of Dilton Marsh for kindly supplying us with a skip to dispose of the rubbish.”
