The annual Friends of Dilton Marsh School (FODS) quiz night has raised £726.61 for the school.
The funds will help cover the cost of school trips, making them more affordable for families. 14 teams competed at the quiz night last month, which a FODS spokesperson described as “a huge success.”
“It was great to see everyone enjoying themselves,” they said. “We are so grateful for their support and generous donations for the supper and raffle.
“Thanks to our popular quiz master Tim Bird, of White Horse CAD, for perfectly pitched questions and for awarding the first-place prize. Congratulations to our winners, The Eagles of Death Metal, who are keen to defend their title next year!”
FODS is a registered charity that organises events and activities for Dilton Marsh Primary School.
Their next community event is the Scarecrow Trail on 9th and 10th May. This year’s theme is Fairy Tales.
