A community summer fair at All Saints’ Church has been hailed a success, raising over £600 to support the church’s work.
On Saturday 28th June, visitors were welcomed to enjoy views of Westbury from the top of the church tower, hunt for mini tractors in the church, take part in children’s crafts, and enjoy home baking.
Vintage tractors were on display throughout the day, and music was provided by John Knapp with his Belgian mechanical organ. Members of the Rotary Club supported the event by helping to steward the tower tours alongside church members.
Revd Rebecca Harris, Rector of Westbury, said, “It was great to welcome young and old and share the church building with them. It was a real community event.”
All Saints’ Church will be opening up the tower to visitors again on 20th September during the Wiltshire Chilli Festival.
