Westbury United’s thrilling FA Cup adventure will take the club to new levels this Saturday, 27th September, as their next round tie will be shown live on BBC iPlayer and the Red Button.
Having come from 0-2 down to beat National League North Oxford City 3-2 in the 2nd Qualifying Round, ensuring the club progressed to the furthest stage in the competition for 76 years, United were drawn at home to National League South Farnborough FC in the 3rd Qualifying Round.
And BBC Sport have announced that the tie will be shown live on BBC iPlayer and Red Button with a 12.30pm kick off at Meadow Lane’s Platinum Hyundai Park.
“This is an extraordinary chance for Westbury as a town to be showcased, let alone the football club!” said Andy Bown from the club.
“However don’t just sit at home and watch, get yourself to the match for the usual ticket prices which are adults £12, concessions £9, under-18s £2 and under-12s free.
“Tickets for the match will be on sale in the clubhouse at the ground from 7-9pm on evenings leading up to the match day. However as usual you can just turn up and pay on the day.
“This really will be a historic day for Westbury and Westbury United. The team will be doing their utmost to beat another club from two levels higher.”
