The founder of the Westbury Yarn Bombers has crocheted a heart themed post box topper for Heart Month.
Marisa Befoh created the art piece to spread cheer, as well as to encourage people to support the British Heart Foundation during February, which is national Heart Month.
“The heart is such an important part of who we are, not just physically but emotionally too,” said Marisa.
“For me, this wasn’t just about decorating a post box. Myself and many others in this country will have someone in their lives who has been affected by a heart condition and know the importance of their great work and research. It makes every minute I spent on it completely worth it.”
The post box is located in Leigh Park, outside Tesco Express. Marissa has attached a QR code to the topper and is hoping people will donate to the charity, to help them fund medical research relating to heart and circulatory diseases.
Marisa works full time and says the project took weeks to complete. “Little by little I got it done and I absolutely adore it!” she added.
