Providence Baptist Church, Dilton Marsh, together with Dilton Marsh Historical Society, will be holding their annual Remembrance Evening in the Providence Church Hall on Thursday 9th November at 7.30pm.
This year being the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Passchendaele, the evening will be looking at one of the most brutal conflicts of the First World War, where more than half a million people lost their lives.
There will be local historical updates on local projects, displays, and refreshments. A scripture reader from SASRA will also be speaking about his work.
If you have family memorabilia, a story to share, or would simply like to come and remember the sacrifices made by so many, you would be very welcome. For further information, contact Guy Davies on pastor.davies@blueyonder.co.uk
