WESTBURY Shed is already having a great 2016 with more member joining and now they’ve secured their very own allotments.
Chairman Dan Gmaj said, “We now have a second centre in our town, having just managed to secure some Westbury Shed allotments. So, if you love the great outdoors but have grown tired of weeding it, then we would love to hear from you.
“We need your expertise and passion and in return offer you the chance to make light of the work with others, while maximizing the available enjoyment from working on the land. This little project will require a shed of its own too. Plenty to discuss at our next meeting. Our meetings are still mostly about discussing things, but the hunt is on for a suitable ‘shed’ workshop centre. Please let us know if you have a suitable space to offer as it is an essential part of the Shed jigsaw.
“Every meeting so far has brought new faces to us and the White Horse News has been instrumental in gaining local exposure, thank you WHN!
“The shed movement is gaining ground nationally with over 300 in the UK. We are supporting our friends in Trowbridge, Corsham, Melksham and beyond because shed communities bring the towns together too. The positivity and energy in our groups is a delight to behold. Today is the first day of the rest of your life so make the most of it and do something lovely.
“The next date for your diary is Friday 19th February. We will be meeting again at the very cosy Leigh Park Community Centre from 10am to 1pm, so bring some lunch if you like. Come and join in the conversation and help form your Westbury Shed.”
