ORGANISERS of the Dilton Marsh Scarecrow Trail have hailed the event a success, despite heavy downpours over the weekend.
Families descended on the village over the bank holiday weekend for the 4th annual Scarecrow trail which this year had a theme of ‘Disney.’
Pauline Froggatt from Dilton Marsh School PTA which organisers the event said, “The weekend was really busy. It was a shame that the weather was so bad on Monday, but there was still people taking part.
“The scarecrows were excellent and very well made. A few were hard to guess as well!
“Fairfield Cafe was very busy and so was the church. Thank you to the church for providing refreshments for people taking part in the trail.
“We don’t know how much we raised yet, but hopefully it’s a good amount so we can buy some outdoor equipment for the school.
“The closing date is the 9th and trail sheets can be returned to the school, Crowning Glory or Fairfield Cafe.”
