AN informal ‘Meet Your Councillors’ event was held on Wednesday 4th August in the Laverton giving the chance for members of the public to raise issues of concern with Westbury town councillors.
Mayor Sheila Kimmins said, “The event enabled residents of Westbury to chat with the councillors – over a cup of tea or coffee – about footpaths; the incinerator explosion in Germany; the impact of an incinerator in Westbury; the smell from the Hill’s recycling plant; a By-Pass and many other points of interest and concern.
“It is planned to hold another informal ‘Meet Your Councillors’ later in the year, especially if the Secretary of State Robert Jenrick ‘calls in’ the approved, by Wiltshire Council, planning application.”
