POPCAN organised the second successful skateboarding event in Penleigh Park.
With the sun shining, over 70 children and young people enjoyed another ATB shop-run event with games and encouragement for those on scooters and skateboards.
The event took place on the 26th August, with the community group POPCAN, (Penleigh and Oldfield Community Action Network) offering a day of competitions, fun and of course, as much skating as possible.
Over 70 young people made the most of the sun, with families coming from all over to take in the action and enjoy a picnic while their child tore up the park.
POPCAN has been asked by Diana, the leader of the ATB shop team, to pass on praise for all the children who attended the two events. Diana wanted everyone to know how polite and well behaved they all were, saying they are a credit to their parents and to Westbury.
