FIRST Bus Company, which serves Westbury with the hourly D1 Bath to Warminster service, have announced a range of fare changes that will cap singles at £3.70 as well as the introduction of a £1 single for children 15 and under.

The fare revisions, that came into effect from last week, are possible due to government funding secured by the West of England Combined Authority and North Somerset Council.
First Bus say, “From Sunday 25th September, we’re making changes to fares across the West of England. As part of this we’re reducing lots of single and return fares to make hopping on the bus as cheap as possible. Plus, there’s an amazing new price for all child trips.
“The changes include reduced £2 single and £3.50 2-Trip (return) adult tickets in Bath and Bristol, a reduced 2-Trip and day tickets for travel across the West of England, a £1 single for children 15 and under for any journey across the West of England, as well as West of England singles capped at £3.70
“There are other changes, with some fares increasing due to rising costs, and to simplify our range we’re withdrawing 3-Stop Hop and Night tickets now that single and 2-Trip tickets are cheaper.”
