FAIRFIELD Farm Trust purchased the Prince of Wales pub in Dilton Marsh last year and the trust has exciting plans to turn it into a newly refurbished venue that will serve as another form of training for the students.
The new pub is to be called The Weavers and Fairfield Trust are seeking an experienced pub manager to help manage the new venue.
The college has a long-standing tie within the local community of Dilton Marsh, having already purchased two cafes, a shop, a post office and an animal park.
The intention is to create a B&B style arrangement within the house, as well as keeping a function room and bar facility available for hire. This will offer another form of training to the students at the college, who will be able to understand and learn how an accommodation and hospitality establishment is run.
The trust say that the country pub will provide the community with a much-needed hospitality facility and will also create an opportunity for further training for their students. The team at Fairfield Farm College say they are excited to bring this new project to life, and are hoping that the local community will support the new enterprise.
The trust is seeking a manager with experience of working in the food and beverage environment, ideally in a supervisory role. Excellent knowledge of front and back of house operations is essential.
The closing date for this post is Thursday 26th May at 9am. For more information on how to apply for this role, please visit Fairfield Farm College website at www.ffc.ac.uk
