DILTON Marsh Local History Society is set to hear a talk about the Commonwealth War Graves Commission (CWGC) by Jon Wart on Friday 24th June.
The presentation is on Friday 24th June at 7.30pm in the Dilton Marsh Memorial Hall. The talk is to be followed by tea/coffee and biscuits, and all are welcome. Entrance fee is £4 for non-members and £2 for members – the annual membership fee is £7.
The society say, “The CWGC honours and cares for the men and women of the Commonwealth forces who died in the First and Second World Wars. This is to ensure that they will never be forgotten.
“Six member governments fund the CWGC and their work began by building and now maintaining cemeteries at 23,000 locations all over the world.”
