Westbury Youth Under-13s lifted the Wiltshire FA Minor Plate after a dramatic penalty shootout victory over Amesbury Juniors on Sunday 26th April.
The final ended 3-3 after a closely fought contest, with Westbury holding their nerve to win 5-3 on penalties.
“The team has only been together for two seasons, starting as just a few kids on a Wednesday evening,” said manager Ben Ayre. “I am on cloud nine with emotions. The lads set their standards as high as possible and demanded nothing but hard work from each other, with a never-give-in attitude all season.
“For those lads, you have played your first full season, a massive congratulations; you should be proud.”
