A bra bank has been installed at Dilton Memorial Hall to help raise funds for community lunches.
People can donate bras in good condition using the box in the hall, which will help generate funds for charity, give quality bras a new lease of life and reduce the amount of textiles going to landfill.
“The bra bank and the Wiltshire Lottery will be used to raise money to hopefully provide two community lunches each year,” said trustee Jenny Jones. “The lunches are free for all, however donations are accepted.”
The initiative is run by Fundraise and Recycle, which pays the hall for every kilogram of bras collected. Donated bras are sorted and distributed around the world to people who cannot afford them.
