Westbury & District Cricket Club will host an important day of National Counties Cricket Association (NCCA) action this weekend as Wiltshire take on Herefordshire in a crucial T20 double-header.
The two sides will meet on Sunday 5th July, at Leighton Sports Centre with matches scheduled for 11am and 2pm, as Wiltshire look to secure the victories required to book their place in the knockout stages of the competition.
With qualification for the latter rounds still up for grabs, both fixtures carry significant importance for the home county, adding extra intensity to what promises to be an exciting day of cricket.
“Westbury & District Cricket Club is once again preparing to welcome county cricket to the town, giving local supporters the opportunity to watch high-quality representative cricket at one of Wiltshire’s premier grounds,” said club Chairman Steve Edwards.
“It is fantastic for Westbury to host such an important fixture in the NCCA competition. With Wiltshire chasing the wins they need to reach the knockout stages, there is plenty at stake and it should make for a brilliant day’s cricket. It is always good to see new and returning faces in what is always a friendly atmosphere where everyone is welcome.
“Spectators can enjoy two T20 matches in one day, with the club bar remaining open throughout, high quality free to watch cricket with plenty of parking available.”
The first match begins at 11am, with the second starting at 2pm.
