A WESTBURY councillor is seeking help to get the The Ham Post Office services restored in Westbury after the Post Office closed on 2nd August 2013.
Westbury and Wiltshire Councillor David Jenkins said, “I would be pleased to hear from anyone in the local area who is interested in forming a residents’ group to help come up with ideas or suggestions to get the Post Office services restored.”

Since 2nd August 2013, when they said the service would be temporarily closed, the Post Office has been seeking people to fill the vacancy at The Ham Post Office but say that no interest or applications for the position have been received.
The Post Office is looking to introduce a local service whereby the service is operated within an established retail outlet. This format is currently successfully operating in many other locations across the UK, including Westbury.
