Westbury is getting ready to celebrate in style as the countdown to this year’s Westbury Festival begins.
The not-for-profit community music and arts event will bring exciting writers, historians and actors to the town this summer.
To mark the occasion, Westbury is set to be decked out in colourful bunting which will be draped across shop windows, railings, signs, and buildings across the town.
In order to help make this happen, the Westbury Festival team is inviting residents to a free bunting-making workshop on Saturday 31st May at The Laverton.
Westbury Festival organisers say, “People can drop in from 9am until 2pm. Everyone is welcome, whether you’re a beginner, sewing expert or just happy to help cut out fabric triangles.
“It’s a great way to get involved and be part of something that will brighten up the whole town.
“You can bring your own sewing machine, or use one of ours – there’s a job for everyone!”
Spaces are limited, so those interested are encouraged to book early by emailing chair@westburyfestival.org.uk
