DILTON Marsh Memorial Hall will host a talk by Tony Coutts-Britton on the Battle of the Somme, on Saturday 15th October starting at 7.30pm.
The Battle of the Somme has been marked in the UK and abroad throughout 2016 to mark its 100th anniversary year, brining the battle to the attention of people, many of whom, especially the young, it was an event in the far distant past. The widespread commemorations earlier in the year awakened much interest to people all over the country.
Tony Coutts-Britton is a well known and experienced battlefield tour guide and will be giving a talk about the battle. His talks have the distinction of being informative, educational and entertaining. They are well worth attending. Come and hear him. Entry £5 at the door.
