FOLLOWING on from a hugely successful tour around England back in 2013, ‘Blast from the Past’ are back with a fun and fast paced show of Western musical history.
‘A Brief History Of Music’ incorporates 600 years of music into 90 minutes, beginning with the middle ages and ending up in the 20th Century.
It will feature long forgotten songs and tunes, mixing the familiar and the obscure, the raucous and the reflective and the courtly and the commonplace.
Pauline Baxter outlines what to expect from the show. “The show combines the vigour of the medieval period, the musical intricacy of the Renaissance, the grandeur of the Baroque and the pomp and bombast of a Victoriana; add to that the wit of Blackadder and 1066 And All That, and the stage is set for a veritable musical feast!”
North Bradley Peace Memorial Hall is the chosen venue for this musical journey, on Saturday 9th May starting at 7.30pm. Tickets are £7 for an adult, £6 concessions, £4.50 for children. Or you can purchase a family ticket, which is £18.50. Carers go free. For more information – contact 01225 765644 or www.abriefhistoryof music.co.uk
