Well-known television and radio actor Anthony Head promises to reveal some of the secrets of his fascinating life at the official opening and preview of the Dorothy House Christmas Fayre.
The appearance of the star of TV’s ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’, ‘Merlin’ and BBC Radio 4’s ‘Cabin Pressure’, at Dorothy House in Winsley, is on Thursday 26th November, and previews the ever-popular Christmas Fayre.
Ticket holders will be able to browse and buy a range of fantastic food and festive crafts before the Fayre opens to the general public on Saturday and Sunday. Doors open for the preview at 6.00pm for shopping. The talk will begin at 7.30pm.

The Christmas Fayre is on Friday 26th and Saturday 27th November from 10.30am-3.00pm. As ever, the stalls will be selling high quality handcrafted and exclusive gifts. These include David Ecob’s handmade wooden reindeer in a range of sizes. These are always in demand so advice to shoppers is to get there early!
Admission to the Christmas Fayre is just £1 on the door and all proceeds go towards patient care at Dorothy House.
Yvonne Brunton, community fundraiser said, “The Christmas Fayre is a great community event and demonstrates what amazing local support we have. Visitors tell us how much they love it and it’s all organised by one local lady. She takes the best part of a year to plan it and it’s a great fundraiser. Over the past eight years she has raised nearly £60,000.”
Put the date in your diary and start your Christmas celebrations in style.
