THE overall winner of this year’s Mayor’s Christmas Card competition was Evie Turner.
Evie’s design, from the age 9-11 category, will become the Mayor’s Christmas card for 2020. The winner of the age 3-5 category was Max Lawson; and the winner of the age 6-8 category was Elsie McGregor.
As the overall winner, Evie was also given a starring role in Westbury’s virtual Christmas celebrations, turning on the town’s Christmas lights.
“There were more than 45 entries this year!” said Westbury Town Council’s events manager, Ryan Child. “Evie was also lucky enough to be in the Christmas video this year as the winner, pressing the magical Christmas button.”
