A popular Advent concert will return to Edington Priory Church on Saturday 5th December, featuring a university choir performing festive music.
The Edington Arts Advent Concert has become a fixture in the run-up to Christmas, with visiting university choirs, music and a festive atmosphere complete with mulled wine and mince pies.
This year’s concert will feature the Chapel Choir of King’s College London, directed by Dr Joseph Fort.
Edington Arts trustee Anne Curtis said, “This is the first time the Advent concert has been given by a choir outside the Oxbridge bubble, but their reputation is extremely high and they have been on the organisers’ radar for some years.
“The choir itself numbers around 30 choral scholars from departments throughout the University and is regarded as one of the leading university choirs in the country. They have a long list of recordings, broadcasts, collaborations, concerts and tours both within the UK and internationally, and they have been looking forward to coming to Edington.”
The concert starts at 7.30pm. Tickets range from £11 to £25, with those aged 18 and under able to attend free of charge.
Tickets are available at www.edingtonarts.org or by calling 01380 831256.
