THE annual Bratton Baptist Church pilgrimage will take place at 10.30am on Good Friday 3rd April, and a cross will be erected at the top of Picquet Hill.
Event leader Ian Humphrey said, “It is a time for reflection and worship, when we remember the events that culminated in Jesus’ crucifixion, as a wooden cross is carried up the hill and erected in a position overlooking the village.
“In 2014 over 100 adults, young people and children (plus many dogs) took part.
“The pilgrimage starts from Bratton Church Institute, Tynings Lane where pilgrims can enjoy coffee and hot cross buns from 10am onwards, before starting out. Please consider joining us this year.”
