More than 150 people have spent the summer wandering around Westbury looking up at the skyline or down at the pavement, peering into gateways or passages trying to find the location of over 100 photographs on their ‘Sights of Westbury’ quiz sheets.
John Prince of All Saints’ Church said, “The response to my challenge to get to know Westbury better has been amazing, with nearly 100 quiz sheets sold. People have been buzzing with enthusiasm, and trying to get clues from other contestants about the more difficult pictures. Completed sheets were due in on Friday 6th September, but late entries will be considered. It does not matter if you found them all, it was all about getting you around the town and appreciating what a great place it is!”
The answers will be revealed at a Cheese & Wine Evening on Friday 20th September at 7.00pm at the Parish Hall. Tickets £8. Proceeds will help the upkeep of the Grade 1 Listed All Saints’ Church. After that, the answers will be displayed in the church porch.
