An appeal has been launched to locate the community defibrillator normally kept at Westbury Library, amid fears it could be decommissioned if it is not returned soon.
The device was removed for use between May and June but has not yet been returned.
Westbury Town Council has urged anyone with information about its whereabouts to get in touch or return it as soon as possible.
“We urgently need this defibrillator back so it can be checked, serviced if necessary, and made available for anyone who may need it in an emergency,” said a spokesperson.
“If it is not returned soon, the ambulance service will have to decommission it, meaning it will no longer be available to help save lives in our community.”
